My Tinkerbell Fairy Mini Cakes

Published November 20, 2012 by Rubina

Salaam & hi to all

This is the newest in my range of cakes.

A specially made lot of Tinkerbell Fairy mini cakes for my beautiful and adorable niece for her 5th birthday! She was thoroughly blown away by the cakes when she saw them.

Everything is edible including the figurines! The only things not edible are the wrapping, cake board and a cocktail stick.

Character figurines are becoming quite popular and I will feature others soon.

My ‘Midi’ Cakes

Published August 23, 2012 by Rubina

There are times when a friend or client will see something he or she likes and will ask me to recreate it.

Although I try my best, it may not always be exactly the same I suppose. Nonetheless, the end result was quite lovely and I was happy with these cute cakes.

These in particular were custard cakes, covered in custard icing, and covered with fondant. All the decorations are edible and handmade aside from the ribbon and cake board.
I hand painted the green vines and leaves on the cakes. I really enjoyed that part.

Well, there you have it, my ‘midi’ cakes made specially for a special person.

Have a sweet, sparkly day

Its a Boy!!

Published April 15, 2012 by Rubina

Hi

Today I’ve made these lovely cupcakes in honour of the arrival of little Ayush, born to the daughter of one of the drivers I work with.

He’s a cute little angel. 🙂

These are custard cupcakes with buttercream icing, and edible baby decorations (these were bought).

I usually make my own decorations, but I didn’t have any baby ones on hand right then.

These cuppies were yummy, and the family loved them.

Biscuits Here, Biscuits There, Biscuits Everwhere!!

Published October 23, 2011 by Rubina

I’ve never been much of a biscuit baker, but for the past 2 weeks I’ve been doing just that! Baking biscuits!

I never realized how easy it was and with Diwali and Eid – ul – Adha as well as Christmas coming up, I’m sure I’ll be getting more busy with orders soon.

At between R200.00 and R250.00 a kilo, you can expect to have some wonderful biscuits available.

The Custard Biscuits and Coconut Biscuits as well as Spice Biscuits and Romany Creams seem to be selling quite well this far.

Have a look at the pictures for some ideas.
